Cranberry Glass
A seemingly simple photoshoot, but this shoot actually plays an important role in my photography journey. This was the first photo assignment I ever received in college and it's what made me realize I have a passion for photography.
The assignment was to choose an object in my home and take pictures of it at different points of view with no editing. I selected a piece of my late grandmothers cranberry glass, cleared off my desk, and let the glass inspire me.
I used a bluetooth lightbulb for colored lighting, my makeup vanity for fill lighting, and used chandelier pieces to hold in front of my lens. I went above and beyond the assignment requirements because I was having so much fun building a set and creative problem solving with what I had. To this day, that's what I still love about photography. I'm always finding creative solutions when I to take photos, like taping Tupperware lids to a window in place of gels when away from my studio (yes, I actually did that).
